About the directory – data sources and methodology

What this directory is

SerwisyRowerowe.com is a free directory of bicycle repair shops in Poland: 2527 workshops in 758 towns across all 16 voivodeships, on a map and list. You can search by town, shop name, service and radius; using the directory requires no account.

Where the data comes from

The core of the directory is OpenStreetMap (OSM): we import places tagged as bicycle shops and repair workshops in Poland. OSM data is available under the Open Database License (ODbL), which is why every listing shows "© OpenStreetMap contributors".

We supplement OSM records with public information from the shops’ own websites (e.g. opening hours, phone, range of services), and with corrections and details sent in by shop owners via the add-listing and claim-listing forms.

Current coverage: 792 listings with a phone number, 613 with a website and 602 with opening hours. The rest have at least a name and a location; that gap is what we are working to close.

How the data is updated

Each update runs the same pipeline: import, normalisation of addresses and town names, deduplication of the same shop appearing twice, and a completeness score for every listing. A change register records when each page last actually changed, and that date — not the deployment date — goes into the sitemap.

Which pages we index

Every listing has its own page, but only listings with a street address and sufficiently complete data (contact details, hours or services) are open to search engines. Thinner listings stay available to users with a "noindex" tag until they are enriched — for example after the owner claims them.

A town page is indexed when it has at least 2 workshops. Removed listings return HTTP 410 so search engines drop them quickly.

Prices and guides

Price ranges in our guides and service pages are guides, not quotes: they come from regional compilations of workshop price lists and always show the date they were last reviewed. The chosen workshop always sets the actual price.

Corrections and listing claims

Found a mistake, or does a shop no longer exist? Report it via the form — we review every report. Shop owners can claim their listing to correct the details and add hours and services.
